DIY Upcycled Coat Racks & Hallway Storage
[Upcycle instead of discard! It’s budget-friendly and one-of-a-kind. Because of my massive collection of sports gear, one single wardrobe just won’t cut it in my apartment]
materials:
Surf Coat Rack:
Old fins
Wooden board
Wood glue — potentially two-part epoxy
Jigsaw
Sandpaper
Wood drill bit
Wood dowels
Acrylic paint — optional
Wuzler coat rack:
old wuzler (from a flea market)
Wood drill bit
Wood dowels
Acrylic paint — optional
Lid wardrobe:
used lids (from a flea market) metal drill
S-hooks
for all projects, you will need a drill, as well as wall plugs and screws to mount them to the wall.

Wuzler coat rack:
I found a small wuzler at the flea market. Since I like white furniture, I painted it white with acrylic paint.

Now, use the wood drill bit to drill two holes into the foosball table. After that, mount the foosball table to the wall using wall plugs and screws. I use mine for swimming gear.

lid wardrobe:
Drill holes into the lid and mount it to the wall using wall plugs and screws. After that, hang the S-hooks (or clothes hangers) onto it.

surf coat rack:
Old fins from your surfboard are perfect for a coat rack. Surf shops often have old fins too, if you ask nicely. Cut the wood plank to size with a jigsaw and sand it down.
Upcycling conserves resources and is highly cost-effective.

Paint with acrylic paint if desired. Glue the wooden dowels into the fins. Drill holes into the wooden board, then glue the fins onto the dowels. I also applied two-part epoxy to the contact surface for extra strength.
