florentine biscuits with chocolate

[florentine biscuits are delicious all year – for christmas I add candied fruit and sugar sprinkles]

100g sugar
40g honey
60g butter

75g cream
200g sliced almonds
100g chocolate

candied fruit

melt sugar, honey, butter and cream and cook for 5 minutes.

Add almonds and stir. Preheat the oven (160 degrees).

Use a spoon to spread the mixture on baking paper. Leave space inbetween as they will melt while baking.

Bake 5 to 10 minutes until the turn slightly brown. Leave them to cool.

Florentine biscuits are worth the effort, they look and taste incredible.
