Cinnamon stars

cinnamon stars and punch

[enjoy a winter walk and bring your christmas biscuits and tea or punch along.]

cinnamon stars:
250g ground almonds
150g icing sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of ground cloves
1 tablespoon of rum
1 egg white

glaze:
125g icing sugar
1 egg white

quick & easy orange punch:
1L fruit tea (orange)
2 sachets of mulled wine spice
3 tablespoons of orange syrup (sugarfree or with sugar)
2 Oranges

Preheat the oven (150°C). Make a dough using almonds, cinnamonn, cloves, sugar, egg white and rum. Roll the dough on a sugar covered surface. Cut out stars or other shapes using cookie cutters. Spread on a baking tray. Use baking paper.

whip egg white until stiff. Add icing sugar. use a brush to glaze the biscuits. 
Bake aproximately 10 to 15 minutes.

I make a quick and easy orange punch.
Make fruit tea. Add mulled wine spice, rum and orange syrup. Cut the oranges and add them. Fill the punch into your thermos to keep it warm.

ground cloves add an extra flavour to your cinnamon stars
